God may be silent but He is never somnolent. My wife, college aged daughter, teenage son, and I all watched this video together. It kindled a lengthy time of frank and open discussion regarding why we pray and how we will pray going forward. Our hearts have been challenged to get into the "stream of God's kingdom on earth." We have a new passion to align our hearts with God's pleasure when we don't sense God's presence; because, we know that God cares more than we ever could.

Your presentation on the subject of unanswered prayers is very helpful especially to new believers. From your discussion, I understand that to truly believe in the Lord is to humbly place complete faith, confidence or trust in Him and His words. This is truly pleasing to God (Isa 66:1-2). If this is not done, the evil one can easily prod believers, especially the new ones to question God or even blame Him whenever their well-intentioned prayers are not answered or when unpleasant things happen in their midst. As we know, the evil one always wants us to doubt God's word, His love, His mercy, and His authority. This was illustrated in Job 1:6-12; Jer 12:1-4; and Malachi 3:13-15. But the Lord Jesus showed us the way to ward off the devil's scheme of instilling in us "the boastful pride of life" (Mt 4:5-11; 1 Jn 2:15). Based on the Lord's teachings in the New Testament Bible, I understand that the Lord Jesus desires that His believers become humble, faithful and obedient servants for God's glory!
