Thank you for the interesting discussion about what Jesus said about life. I understand from the Holy Bible about God's promise of eternal life to those who believe in His Son Jesus. I also understand from the New Testament Bible, the great provisions being given by the Almighty God to all faithful believers while they go through life's journey. These provisions are: (1) His words which His Son Jesus taught and which believers use against the evil one (Eph 6:16-17) similar to what the Lord Jesus Himself did when He was tempted by the evil one (Mt 4:1-11); (2) His church (local body of believers or assembly, not the building) where believers are provided with shepherds called elders (pastors or teachers) who genuinely care for their souls and from whom they learn God's will based on God's laws (e. g. 10 commandments) and the teachings of His Son Jesus (Mt 28:19-20; Acts 2:42; Acts 20:17-28; 1 Peter 5:1-5); (3) and the guidance from the Holy Spirit (Jn 16:13-15). With these great provisions and because of their great faith in the Lord Jesus, believers are able to overcome trials, temptations, tribulations or persecutions that may come along the way (1 Jn 5:4-5). I also understand that believers may sin along the way, but since they have an Advocate to the Father, the Lord Jesus, their sins are forgiven when they confess. (1 Jn 2:1-2; James 5:13-16). It is also written in the Holy Bible that true believers will never see death (Jn 8:51) and that no one can snatch them from the Lord's hand (Jn 10:27-30).
