Romans: The Letter that Changed the World, Part IV (Chapters 9-11)

Product Number: DOD2099

Of all the letters ever written, none has been read by more people or had a more profound effect on the world than a letter the apostle Paul wrote 2,000 years ago to a small, young church in Rome. In it Paul clearly challenged the thinking of everyone in the civilized world of his day. One of those challenges is the idea that God has a chosen people, the Jewish people. But if God chose one nation over all others, where does that leave the rest of us? Mart De Haan and Jimmy DeYoung take you to visit archaeological remains from the time and places where this letter was written and talk to experts on location to hear what they have to say on this subject and more.

Your discussion of Romans 9/10/11 was very inspiring. I understand from your presentation that the Lord's mighty plan/program for Israel for His glory will come to play when the "fullness of the Gentiles has come in" (Rom 11:25). I learned from a pastor that the time of "fullness of the Gentiles" will be the time of resumption/completion to fulfillment of what is written in Deut. 32:21, the time when the Jews will be jealous of Gentile believers who have now found favor with God who is their (the Jews')God, through their faith in Jesus as the Lord. I learned that this period of time of "fullness" would also mean the continuation to completion of the gospel mission to the Gentile nations which the Apostle Paul started during which he declared his hope or wish that his ministry to the Gentiles may move to jealousy his fellow countrymen. (Romans 11:11-14). We all know from the Book of Acts the many mighty things that Apostle Paul did during his mission through the power he received from above. Therefore, during this time or period of fullness of the Gentiles (Christians),I understand there will again be signs and wonders during gospel missions similar to those written in Mk 16:20, and in complete fulfillment of Joel 2:28-29. And many (including Jews) will believe and will start to serve the Lord.
